While lying underneath adjusting torsion bars and hooking up new guages, I noticed this yellow wire just dangling.
Van seems to be running well without it but I'd like to know, ya know?
It was inside a protective tube and comes out of the same wire loom as the other wires there.
I think that is the alternator behind and I looked all over for a place it might have been connected but to no avail. What is this wire?

Oil pressure warning switch (you don't have the little oil can light before you start the engine, do you?). Should be up high just behind the alternator. Probably covered in oil.
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.

I do not have the oil can light! but I did earlier this week so it a recent detachment...
I seem to have only the battery, the hand brake, and the glow plug/fuel filter lights. I wonder what else is not attached...
