Delica Chamonix batteries

Post by JamesR »

Hi
Quick question
I have a dual tray battery system

It wouldn't start this morning as to boost to start
Batter guage sits at 10 unless I rev, then it goes up to 12...
Lights/electrical are dim unless I rev...

What size batteries do I need
Everything is in Japanese on mine and I want to pick up 2 at lordco

I've heard it's batteries and I've heard it's my alternator (and arguments for both)

Going to start with the batteries and see

Chances are you'll need both, batteries and alternator. Take the batteries with yiu and lordco can match them and recycle the old ones. If you have a multimeter you can test your alternator. Jumpstart the van and check the voltage at the batteries after you remove the jumpers, should be 14v+. If its not, your alternator is toast.

Good luck
