Brake rotors / pads - where to get?
Looking to do a brake service on my Delica. I see Coombs has them, but 85x2 + 135x2 for rotors + around 250 for all pads seems a bit on the expensive side - that's edging towards $1K with tax and shipping for brakes. Maybe I'm misguided on how much brakes for the Delica go for, but has anyone found anything compatible on RockAuto or Napa/Lordco? I can understand the front rotors are unique to the Delica so I don't mind getting them from Coombs (+ they're a great shop), but what about rears and/or pads, are there compatible vehicles that also use those?

I think if you check in the L300 technical library in the "Suspension & Brakes" under 2 piston brake upgrade you may find out all the parts are compatible with the front brakes on an L400. I think the upgrade cost me about $250. Your on your own for the rear brakes.

Hiya Jbourne,
Rear rotor and pads can be had at any parts store. I went with the same year montero( Which I feel I found in a sticky somewhere uk or aussie or here maybe?) . Front rotors are the issue, they are specific to L400s and are bigger than their montero counterpart. Pads though for the front can be had anywhere as well. I've gone through a few bad rebuilt calipers so thats when I had to deep dive to figure it all out. I've bought midrange pads from Napa, Partsource, Pistonring here in Manitoba.
Cheers,
Russell

Awesome. Thanks - this really helps. So when I'm due, I'll do the rears off a Montero, and for the fronts, I'll just get them from Coombs I guess. I understand rotors are "special" to the L400, are the front pads as well?VanVonVan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 10:13 am Hiya Jbourne,

Not that I found, I usually ordered mid range montero pad for the front and rear.
