To those who have the front cab sunroof (not the large one in the back). When it's closed and locked, are you able to push on the glass to make it move up and down by over a 1/4"? Mine those although it has a good seal and doesn't leak. Just curious if it's normal or needs adjusting.
Thanks

Re: Sunroof question
Yes there seems to be a bit of play in the sunroof.
There are no leaks as a result of this that I have heard of.
I have heard of the sun roof coming of the attachment and you could take a look at the bolts that hold it in place
this is rather rare but it is worth looking over before a back road trip.

Re: Sunroof question
check the 2 bolts at the front of the sunroof, they OFTEN come loose (one of mine was even missing when I got the vehicle!)
the sunroof should have NO play in it when closed and locked.

Re: Sunroof question
ok, thanks guys.
I'll take it apart to see if the bolts came off loose or if l can adjust it somehow to take the play off.
I think Green1 already posted about those missing screws along with pictures...
Time to go play some more!

Nah, it was me. But he gave me most of the instructions. Here's the link loose-sunroof-bolts-2084.htmldelicat wrote:ok, thanks guys.

If you just need to tighten the bolts, you don't have to undo the latch, just remove the trim.

Re: Sunroof question
Well, seems like the sunroof does have some normal play.
I took mine apart as per Ruminante's post but both my hinge bolts were already pretty tight. By the way, I didn't need to remove the trim part and could access those bolts with an open wrench once the side latches were removed.
It just looks like the holes on each side tracks that accept the locking latches are oversized and allowing some play.
It doesn't leak, I'm happy.

Re: Sunroof question
there's no play in mine, but it is possible that over time your latch holes have worked their way wider... if there's no leak, and no wind noise, I'd say don't worry about it!
