Deli-bed
Has anyone tried to build a bed into their Delica? Looking at how the seats all fold in mine, it doesn't look too comfy, and I think I have a crafty way of getting around that problem. I will post some pics when I get closer to a solution for my vanity.

Re: Deli-bed
I used a costco queen sized air matress on top of the bumpy seats. You know the 6"-8" thick kind. No need to remove the seats that way.

Re: Deli-bed
when alone I sleep straight on the seats, when I have my GF with me we use a queen size air mattress, both ways are quite comfortable, and neither sacrifices the original usefulness of the seats.

Re: Deli-bed
Same as above, I take all the headrests off, lay all the seats flat and inflate a Walmart queen-size mattress. I've alway found this extremely comfortable, now with the DVD player we can get all comfy and then watch a movie!!

Cheers!!

Re: Deli-bed
I'm getting set to construct a bed/storage unit in our bus too. The set-up in the following forum is the best I've seen and the starting point for me - top-shelf stuff. I am planning to remove the carpets and put in a 'floating' lino covered plywood floor first though

One couple you might want to talk to are Jay & Christine of the "Tardisdeli". THey have built a good bedding system in their van, with storage below.

I'm planning something similar for this summer. Still designing/thinking.

Re: Deli-bed
So it does, Jay and Christine can be very creative. I think that because the Delica comes from Japan, and the Japanese being masters of space usage ~ it necessarily follows that the Canadian Delioid intrinsically develops a natural awareness of their new extended conciousness, that being the inner space and sanctum of the delicorium (to borrow from Mararmeisto).Erebus wrote:Konadog's post above gives the link to the TardisDeli setup.FalcoColumbarius wrote:One couple you might want to talk to are Jay & Christine of the "Tardisdeli".
