Try to resize it down to something like 640X640... don't know how big it was originally, but if you took it with a digital camera (something other than your cell phone) than it's probably much larger than that.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, your purchasing experience, etc... we like to share the good and the bad here.

And finally, there is the makings of a camping/meet in May, keep your eye on that one -

$1300 is worst case scenario rebuild . We can `re-seal` for less than $600 including the labour to remove and replace on the vehicle but with no warranty. Most full rebuilds that we carryout are sent out to Action Fuel Injection in Nanaimo and cost between $850-$1300 but include warranty and full re-calibration . That is their price we only pass the cost onto the customer . I have dealt with several rebuilt injection pumps that have had leaks since installation and the good thing with Action Injection is that they do honor their warranty . Check for history of the rebuild company and warranty period before paying too much for repairs .

GREENME@U wrote:Me being 21 i dont have 1200 to rebuild pump and yes there is a warranty! and yes u do get what u pay for! but the same deal but $400 cheaper go for it! :?

I'm not telling you not to go the cheaper route, I just trust ccautos is all. As for whether it is the "same deal" or not that I don't know as I don't know anyone that has had a pump rebuilt by andy's auto center let alone anyone that has had one done at both so no way really for me to compare. Let us know how it goes.

Well, not intended to pick on you but... If you do some searching on the forum you will find that there is very little, if any, bad in regards to Glen and CC Autos. In fact, a little research will reveal that there is well deserved praise from many members here. Me being one, as you can tell. And no, I am not getting paid nor am I connected with them in any way, except I purchased my van from 5 Star which was serviced from Glen. I am constantly impressed with Glen's willingness to share info, help trouble-shoot and advise on self-repair tips and techniques.

As for getting what you pay for, you will be paying for and getting good diesel knowledge and a rebuild. Going through Glen, I think you get the same, but it is also specific to the Delica, which is not available everywhere.

My two pennies.

Ok my 2cents.....Glen at Coombs is a stand up guy and has helped many, many people and deserves alot more praise than we give him. Craig at Diesel and Turbo is a second generation injection specialist, and his brother also does the same in Australia. I would have no problem letting him work on my Deli, including rebuilding the pump.

I have nothing bad to say about Craig at Diesel and Turbo as I have never dealt with him . I have dealt with (I believe) his father-in-law who bought a van from Five Star . When the van was purchased I answered many initial questions to the guys about Delicas and they offered their services for rebuilding these pumps but I have been dealing with Action Injection in Nanaimo for a while now after several `cheaper` rebuild shops let me and my customers down with warranty issues . Unfortunately from this lesson I found its not always good to save a dollar !! I also repeat I have never dealt with Craig but I have heard a lot of good reports for rebuilding domestic injection pumps . I hope that everything goes good for you Greenme@u and please report back as to the success of the rebuild because I for one would be interested to see an after-rebuild evaluation and improvements noted for running/efficiency .

My turn to chime in:

For my money, and I hate spending any of it   , Glen's the man!!!!!

He did all the initial work on my Deli and I've not had a single thing and I mean nothing go wrong in 18 months. My company has dealt with the boys in Campbell River and they're ok (but that's company money), but when I'm spending my hard earned dosh I'm only heading south (to CC Auto).

:-D 8-) :-D 8-)
Cheers!!
