Made it to Victoria in one piece

Post by electrik_jester »

So went to Calgary to pick up my Van.
Cousin brought it in November and as it turns out he is a pickup kinda guy so I got a deal on an already imported into Canada Deli.

Runs like a top with all the belts changed, new plugs etc, and you have to love power curtains.

Took the #1 highway all the way back to Van on Saturday. Saw a couple of other delis out there, doing the wave thing.

The picture is at the lookout over Shushwapp Lake
Was a real nice day for a drive across the province

Another white one! I think I might have to declare that the Victorian color of choice - that's at least half-dozen of us with this color.

I love taking the #1 through to Calgary and back - can't wait to take it with Moon Machine.

Welcome and well met.

The stick shifting is cool, Makes you feel like you are shifting some kind of truck or rig.
still getting used to it and using the left hand to do the shifting while sinaling with the right still feels awkward.

The initial impression is 3rd could be a little longer. You feel like you are revving a little high for that 60-65 kph in town slightly speeding pace. 5th will take you to 115-120 if you need it, say Saturday night heading into Van. For stock four wheeling though I think the gear box would be pretty happening. As a back roads cruiser I also think its going to be great.

Still need to pass the out of province inspection mind you. This is where my mind is at right now. (see inspection thread) :M
