thermometer
does anyone know if theres some kind of switch inside the thermometer on the dash to change from celcius to farenheight?
Re: thermometer
I don't know for sure, but I doubt it. These vehicles were built for a country where the metric system is used and the only measure of temperature considered is celsius.

Re: thermometer
there's only one country in the world that still uses farenheight, and these vehicles weren't built with the US market in mind...

...cause they don't live in the US. Check their original post and you'll see they reportedly live in Japan...marsgal42 wrote:...and how does somebody in the U.S. have a '94?

...so that begs the question as to why they would want it temperature to read in F?
...unless they're a displaced American...
Antonelli doesn't sound particularly Japanese to me, but hey, I never did learn my 'ichi, ni, san'.

Re: thermometer
with the rules in the states as I understand them (doesn't mean much :)) you could have a 2008 if you wanted, you just need to get it imported and complianced by a registered importer. Now I say "just" but I'm sure it isn't cheap, but it should be possible.

Re: thermometer
actually,
antonelli is an italian name. I'm an american living in okinawa working for the government. Back in the states I had a montero and inside the accessory pod the thermometer had a switch to change from c to f how do you get that little pod off the dash?
looks kind of tricky. thanks for the help.

Re: thermometer
There is a snap-on facing plate at the bottom front of the pod - pop that off and you'll see a couple of screws which hold it to a plate mounted to the dash. Unscrew them, pod comes off - watch for lamp wires.alex.antonelli wrote:actually,
