Hi Noel, How are these winches best attached to the Delica ? And what is the practical load limit ? Really interested, after last weekend when 2 Delica's needed tugging out. Thanks, Christine.

Hi, for most things you will do in your delica, the 9000LB winch should do just about anything you can think of and if its not enough you can either buy a snatch block to almost double the ability of it, or just go with the 12000LB one right off the bat.
A Delica is roughly 4500lbs give or take depending on your gear and passengers, so the 9000LB winch is pretty strong in comparison, but when you need a winch your not exactly just pulling it on smooth ground , or you wouldent need the winch in the first place. right.
For Mounting it on your delica, the bull bars are slightly modified to hold the winch, you can either use one of the Warn winch mounting plates that can easily be made to bolt to your front end or if you have a Class 3 hitch, Warn makes a mounting plate that will slide into a reciever hitch, so you can put the winch either front or rear mount, I've mounted them befor on a couple of Delicas and most of the center section of your Plastic Mitsubishi bull bar is cut out and the winch mounted there. I have picts of the winch on my website.

Will the bullbar handle 9k+ lbs of pull ?EnviroImports.com wrote:Hi, for most things you will do in your delica, the 9000LB winch should do just about anything you can think of and if its not enough you can either buy a snatch block to almost double the ability of it, or just go with the 12000LB one right off the bat.

Looking under almost looks like a reinforced plate from cradle to the frame should be added.
My 2 cents. Could be wrong. Not sure what the bullbars can handle for weight/pull.

the bull bars on the Delica are about 60%show and 30% protection, your not bolting the winch to the bullbars, your bolting it to the frame mounts and how its all designed it sits in the middle of the bull bars, but would be mounted the same even if the bull bars were not there, it would just look odd with out the bars.

Re: Warn Taber series winches.
what is it that you would like to see a picture of?
the winch, the bumper, the mounting options?
you can either mount the winch on the frame mounts from the bull bars where your bush lights mount to now, or you can put it on a warn multi mount to use it front and back.
