Actually if you Google "'PAN Antenna Earth" you will see what it is for. Make sure you put the Quotes around it or you will get too much info. Click the translate button to change it to "sorta" English.

My best guess on the antenna would be that it is left over from some form of vehicle tracking system, it would be under the vehicle so as to be less likely to be disturbed if the vehicle were to be stolen.

Wow, how Tesslarian. So Mararmeisto, have you any idea what that black box is under my driver's seat? Do you think it is related to the aeriel? And do you have one under your seat?

No man, You know when you access your air filter ~ you have to pull the carpet back to get to the hatch? right there under the seat itself. I was wondering if it might be related in one way or another to the PAN Antenna Earth. I went to that site and it looked like something Tessla may have dreamed up. The black box I am talking about is roughly six by six inches by one inch deep and is just forward of the hatch cover. I will see about getting a picture to you but maybe you have one, too....

Sorry Falco, no black box under the driver's seat of Moon Machine. I did discover that I've got the super glow system, but nothing that doesn't look like it's supposed to be there.

Didn't you know it is for signaling the "ALIENS" so they know when to pick you up? That is to weird I have know idea what that is for.

how odd.. the close wire looks like an antenna wire, have you seen where it goes? or where the other wires go? I'm guessing to the dash where your radio is, and that it is some sort of axillary radio. Maybe it was a delivery van in japan or something...

Only weird things I've found are multiple horns that weren't hooked up. Replaced them with a seibel nautilus compact 140db airhorn :)

I was thinking that maybe it was an auxiliary aerial system for a TV or something. Jay thinks it might be something to do with the locking system. The guys at Performance Stereo have no clue what it is or where the wires go and they have had the vehicle apart. Maybe I should pull the seat right out and see where it goes.

I have the wire harness under there but no box, I think it has to do with the optional tav that mounted right near there or the drivers mic that I believe was wireless. But it's all just speculation.

if it connects to that antenna under the vehicle, I'm still leaning towards some form of vehicle tracking system (eg: lojack) or possibly something as simple as remote central locking and/or alarm system really no way to know other than to follow the wiring or find some writing on it (possibly on the bottom?)

Hmmm.... I did the google search looking for Pan Antenna Earth... I got hits back to this post and some Japanese sites. Translating these showed some similar antenna's for sale on auction but no explanation on what it does, or is supposed to do. Did anyone get an understanding on that?
