Hi, I am very close to purchasing a van but I had a few questions.
1) the Delica's from Taiwan have left hand drive. Does anyone know of any reason that these haven't been imported into Canada?
2) Can anyone give me reviews on Japanoids in New West? Good to deal with? Easy, no hassles, mostly problem free?
Let me know
Cheers

you can get LHD delicas from many places in the world, the reason people import delicas and other JDM vehicles is because they are, on average, in far better shape and cheaper as well, making them an amazing value which is what makes it worth it to buy it ship it and compliance it.
People think RHD is unsafe because it is different and they have been feed crap by the authorities about their safety. I believe it to the same reaction that is the basis for racism, a fear of the unknown.
As for Japaniod I've never dealt with them so I can't say either way.

Can't answer as to why we don't have lefty drive delicas from Taiwan here, but personally I don't think I would want one. For me the right hand drive thing is part of the fun and charm of these machines. A lefty would have the unique
factor though...

Happy Day!

because the japanese ones are higher spec units with lower mileage in better shape for less money... that and that RHD is safer and better than LHD for most purposes around here (parallel parking is SO much easier, as is passing oncoming traffic on narrow roads!)the Delica's from Taiwan have left hand drive. Does anyone know of any reason that these haven't been imported into Canada?
