Saw this puppy while driving in the Paj yesterday (thursday) at around 6pm.

Inside looks stock. Pop top and sliding windows. 8-)

Blurred out the plates.

Who's is it ?

I have seen this one downtown before, very curious about it as it's the only camperized one I've seen in person.

Wow very nice, when were in the market for a Delica again that is exactly what we want (not going to bother with yucky L400's). Only other one I've seen was based on the plain jane L300 non-turbo model.

Not sure if it's the same one but last July I saw a couple in their 50-60's purchasing an identical one at Japanoid. It had very well made (Westfalia style) cabinets accessible from the tail gate as well as from the sliding door. I was pretty jealous about it at the time... but no more! :-D

Sweet ride. I love the awning on the side - just what I want for the Moon Machine... where can I get one?

I believe Reimo is a German company retro-fitting vans into camperized version. They used to do Delica kits but don't think they do it anymore.

If you're very curious or interested here's a link for a Delica Reimo for sale and bonus it's a LHD...

I met a couple from Pender Island last year at Takkakaw Falls road that had a pop top just like it. They mentioned there were only 3 in Canada. Looks like there are more now.

there is a shop in north van on 3rd street that seems to specialize in awnings for vans, at least I see them building a lot of them for VWs. I could get the name of the place and ask if they would make a delica awning if you want.

Coaxial, could you provide the shop name and the location? I am really interested in making an awning for my deli.

I saw that one, or one just like it, in North Van last summer. Re awnings I just called one of the local rv repair places here on the south island and they sell a 16' length of awning rail for around 25 bucks. I think the profile is something like this http://catalog.cmtrailers.com/ItemForm. ... 6b9ab6f01a

Vinyl welting is a buck or so a foot. This is the low tech approach. (The welting would be sown to a tarp and it's this end that is fed through the rail.) I saw a westy the other day using two shorter lengths of around 4' each, mounted end-to-end and angled away from each other to create a peak. This is on my project list.

That van is what I want. Camperized with pop top.

Does anyone have any other info on these at all? Do you think a used pop top from a wreckers (probably off a VW) would work with a Deli? I guess the top would have to be custom made, but I'm wondering if anyone has tackled installing a pop top themselves.
