Post by sayulita101 »

We are very excited about our new addition to the family.its a 92 exceed crystaline roof,cold/hot box, new everything and drives like it!Its the first one we looked at and had to have it.Looking forward to a trip to the Oregon coast this summer and maybe a trip to Sayulita Mx. on hwy 101 in the future.Just have to get the kareoke working in the back to keep our 14 yr. old daughter happy! (any ideas would be appreciated)

the karaoke will only work with the stock stereo installed, which has the Japanese FM radio band that is very different from everywhere else in the world so it's a toss up. I have the stock stereo installed and have an ipod connected to one of the audio jacks on the karaoke machine, I'm good with that until I can get a double din gps navigation/stereo/dvd and whatever else, but that is WAY down on the list of thing to blow money on.

I'm with Loki. I also run an ipod into one of the karaoke jacks. I run the power cord for the ipod into a 12 volt USB charger plugged into the 12 volt recepticle. The sound is of a good enough quality for me. I noticed that some ipod car kits also have an option will allow you to receive FM... this would take care of your FM reception problems. Another option is to buy an FM expander - Glenn at CC Auto has some on order right now and if I recall correctly he was going to sell them for somewhere around $22. As things stand right now I only get two radio stations. One in french and the other a talk radio station out of Port Angeles.

Great looking truck! I love the ladder and rack combo.

We have an expander installed in the system but i figured we could just plug a mike and sing along as we go. I guess I have to spend a little time messing around with it. Thanks for the reply. Paul M Ladner B.C.
