I'm very interested in this as well, it will make for easier access to the back for gear but also will allow to carry way more bikes if I put a rack on the back too, a friend of mine says he can make me a copy of the north shore racks 6 bike rack. Will be great for biking road trips with the crew if I can take 7 bodies and 7 bikes.

Hey guys, I made some changes to the bike rack, and need a delica to test fit it, as my delica just went to a new home. so is anyone willing to let me try a test fit on there van, The rack is still the same for the most part, but a couple changes and we made these from the plans of the old ones, but with out actually bolting them on to ensure everything is perfect I dont want to sell the newer stronger version yet.

If you and Loki can’t get hooked up you could use our van. I wouldn’t mind stopping by your shop and having a chat about a few things. We are also into biking but prefer cross country and road riding.
Just send a PM if you want to use our van.

Hi, I dont have a pm, but have either of you had your bull bars off befor, It doesent matter to me whos van, but I find some vans bolts are so rusty it takes an hour to get the bolts out, but some come out nice and easy.
I only need the van available for about an hour if the bars come off nice and easy. Im in Victoria and could do this just about any time. I have bull bar adapter mounts that are done and I just need to make sure everything lines up the same, I went with a much thicker steel for these as my downhill bike is Brutally heavy and with 3 of them on one van I wanted to make it stronger that they were. so now they are pretty much as strong as a trailer hitch. Something that will never fail.
Oh I have a class on tues/thurs evenings so those nights are out if you want to do this during the day, or if you can drop your van off in the am, I could even drive you to work if your not to far away....or to early lol

I have never taken the bars off myself so I'm not sure if they have been off at all. I live in James Bay and work up on commerce circle so I could drop it off to you some where in either area and ride my commuter the rest of the way or I could leave it at home and you could come try it while I'm at work or on a weekend. I will have it at the SuperD in hartland on Sunday most likely not sure if you would want to do it in that lot though.

anyways let me know what you think.

I would want to do it here, give me a call and we can set something up, I would rather do this during the nice weather and If I have it for a few hours then im not rushed, today I started at 4:45am and am probably going to be working until about 11pm. some days its just go go go.
Im at the gym from 6:30-8:30 most nights. so other than that we could meet up . maybe even leave it here in the eve and pick it up the next day after work.
but anyway , give me a call, If I dont answer im either welding or running parts around
but eventually i will call you back lol

Hello , well so far I have had numerous people express a "serious" interest in the bike rack and about half a dozen say via PM's or emails they want to use their van for the final test fit on this heavier duty bike rack, but no one has actually contacted me about bringing there van over and doing that, so for now I guess they can sit on the shelf. when some one is wanting to volinteer for that hour, let me know
