Picked up Marshmellow today.

Turned out to be quite the surprise. He needs a good cleaning, but overall he's in great shape.

Not only that but it came with the original manuals/operator's guides and IBC threw in a complete set of alum stock delica rims with 30x9.5 DOT BFG's tires were in poor shape but I wasn't expecting the extra rims set.

Underneath looks good and runs great. Fluids, 1/2 tank of diesel, no sputtering. Started up on first crank. Smooth idle.

It's going to be a hard decision to choose between the two.

Very different from each other inside.

Nice! Cool you got the original manual. I love that kind of stuff. My 71 VW bus came with an old Idiot book and 10 years of mileage / maintenance records. I kept up the records and passed all on to the next guy. Saw the bus a few years later and while it was in better shape than ever, sadly the records had been lost. Anyway, you sure have a tough choice ahead! I don't know, you've made a few cracks about keeping them both. If that option is actually a choice, well, it's easy. If you really do have to take one over the other, not so much... Good luck!

I wish I can keep both but alas, $ for a pair of vehicles always comes into play.

It's going to be Granola.

Mechanically he's a grade 5 if that's at all possible. You can eat off the engine. It's that clean literally. Full timing was done 30k ago and all of the belts/pump/pulley's look like they're brand new.

It's a single owner and it was driven from new until this Jan, so it's obviously been looked after.

Interior is mint.

It's got everything I need.

Marshmellow looks good too but she's more 'subtle' and loaded for my taste (after spending time with Granola).

So, Granola it is.

Marshmellow will be up on the market as soon as I get her in tip top mechanical and cleanliness shape after the inspection.

Ahem, what I meant to say was "Hooray for Granola!"

If the engine is that good, sounds like a keeper - even with the psychedelic carpets... Did you notice a difference in comfort between the two? When we test drove my kids thought the SExceed was more comfy than the Chamonix. But the high wear and tear, long-life fabric on the Chamonix was pretty appealing.

That was our dilemma too.

S Exceed - comfy as heck. plush, soft seats. Downside = wears really really really easily.

Chamonix - very durable seats/carpets/interior. Downside = not as 'plush' as the s exceed's.

We chose Chamonix based on my needs and the ability to fry some food right on the block without cleaning it.

I really want to keep both but can't.

They really are very different Delica's. I kind of wish I would've brought two similar one's in.

With these two, it's a really tough call.

But it turns out Granola came a few pts ahead.

I'd like Marshmellow to go to a good home too.
