Re: Delica wanted in NOVA SCOTIA
Hi Zak, I can give u some info from previous posts on this website ...
One Delica just became a Halifax resident last month. Online ID is Miloki. Bought in Calgary and drove by owner to new home. If there is a large rottweiler dog sitting in the front seat, that'll be the one. Hopefully Miloki will see your post soon.
Some Concerns were how to find a local garage for service, but with the helpful folk on this site giving advice if any wierd problems crop up, that seemed OK. And local parts people here ship parts all over BC so just send it a bit further. Next concern was with the Short VIN Vehicle ID # that is on the vehicle (only 8 digits ??), which is finally OK in BC as the government computer programme was amended to allow an override, will your local insurance company do it.
Have you seen any Delica's yet, or driven one ? How common are they in NovaScotia?
Japanoid.com here in New Westminster ships across Canada by rail with no problem, they do the full Delica preparation including rubber, fluids, DOT stuff, and cleaning, then pop it on the train for you, David can give u details.
If u decide to visit BC to check out Delica's, we can offer place to stay. And we'll organize a Deli-Meet for u.
Cheers, Christine.
