Delica Spotting - my first time

Post by BCDelica »

We saw four other Delica's on the West Coast of VI this weekend!

I have never seen another Delica in person before, and seeing some different models and shades, it's like WOW these are cool rides. Well in the last 30 days I have been up to the Caribou and a week later drove the Delica to Edmonton and Calgary, never seeing one.

There were two 91 Crystal lite roof models, a silver and a white. Met Jeff and Carly, they only got there white Delica Thursday and already are planning to order a second van for her. Also two low roof 90' or older models in two tone green, one was Snowslides and the other sat on 31" BF off-road tires; mean looking  . I have to get a front mount spare tire like Snowslides so I can stick a veggie oil tank where my spare is. We had a ferry to catch so never had a chance to meet Paul.

Got a couple of pictures, but the camera and family are at the beach. With out me, ahhh working life.

Do you guys play Delica tag? It has helped delicaclub.com immensly as not eveyone has the net and allows for an ice breaker when you walk up to an owner... I've generated 10000 in Australia and watched the club numbes adn the games within the club grow.

Can send you a couple of exmaples over, but all they are is business cards with club details and some sponsorship on the back and rom to allow for the tagger to put their handle on it..... it works and some here even run log books on pates to make sure they have got them all!

I live in Coquitlam BC, and I see one parked in a townhouse complex every time I got to the gym (not sure of the year)...I notice he has a buddy that has one as well; for the past 2 months, there's another one parked on the street outside of his place that I see quite often as well. I think I'm going to introduce myself one of these days, 'cause I just can't stop drooling over these beautiful vans...
If I had a garage, I wouldn't hesitate to get one of these babies, (as a "hobbyist" second car) but as it is, I just don't have the space :(

Sunday March 25, I saw a white Delica with chrome pkg and the orange and brown graphics on the side heading north between Woss and Pt. McNeill. It was around 8:30 AM, looked like a nice rig.

The same day I spotted another at Mt. Cain that I've seen it there before.

Just wondering if the owners are on the Forum?

Aaron in Campbell River picked it up mid february.

Those chrome trimmed window shades are ugly close up, I'd take the off (just the trim I mean)
