Desiel Engine on my deli needs a fuel tune-up

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

I need more details... if you can provide what amount of fuel and the exact km, then I can compare to what mine gets... Right now I'm averaging 12.28 L/100km: 1,688.9 L and 13,758km.

Worst tank ever: 14.38 L/100km: 429km and 61.7L of fuel. All 4x4 driving in the snow.

Is it a manual? If so 400km is darn good. If it is an auto then are you sure it is really empty? It can look close to empty but still have 20+ litres left in the tank. So have you figured out how many km/L or L/km you are getting. It might not be as bad as you think.

In city driving, 400 km from full down to 1/4 tank is about right. On the highway I start looking for a gas station after 500 to 550 km.

Try some measurements. My usual numbers are 15 litres/100 km city, 10 highway.

Not sure if there's anyone else here in Calgary who'd be able to do this job. I drove my Delica to Richmond, BC and took it to CVI... Part vacation - part Delica tune... If you can do it, I recommend you do it. If not, maybe somebody else here can recommend another place here in YYC.

Hey Parassazam, why don't you change your profile to say you're in Calgary? That's a good way to get local help and input.

thanks for in the input guys really appriciate it. i went to drayton valley the other day and i was only getting about 9.5 to 10 km /L so i was kind of p'od as my carvan was used to give me about 15/L so just wanted to make sure.

and yes i will get on to change my profile thanx lol. and also it some could still tell me if there is any body that could do my cvi as it is really hard for me to get out of city too often because of my job hours.

and please let me know if this about right for the consumption. and does auto make a difference i mean is it better for consumption?

My 5spd manual gets about 400km to a tank, depends how I'm driving it (usually like it's stolen).

And yeah you can usually get up to another 100km after it says it's empty, to give you 500km from a tank but I don't officially condone that due to possibility of muck at the bottom of the tank and/or running out of fuel
