Delica Tune at CVI
I have been reading a lot of posts where people mention the Delica Tune at CVI. Can someone send me the details for this place and a rough idea of cost?
Thanks

They rebuild your fuel pump sonic clean the injectors(not cheap but worth it). as well as oil & fluids change, hardware (struts, guts), so far as I know, everything except alignments
They have a menu sheet, so you can see how much each item costs, and you just tick what u want. Butch is very good on phone or internet to keep in touch all along.
Cheers, Christine.

I just had my Pajero "Delica Tune" done at CVI yesterday and WoW it runs smooth now. I noticed more power driving up the Sea to Sky lastnight. I will keep everyone posted on the increase om performance and fuel economy as I drive it more.

Re: Delica Tune at CVI
Just to clarify my note, I don't know what the CVI $300.00 service is--that someone else mentioned.
We had a variety of stuff done at CVI, that cost way more than $300.00 But the work is great, and they will honestly advise you if stuff can wait, and what to watch for.
Cheers, Christine.

$300 gets you a 'Delica Tune' .
I believe it's an injector supersonic clean / timing set and an overall look over the Deli.
mitsu chime in if I'm wrong.

Re: Delica Tune at CVI
I just wanted to add my experience to this topic. I just had my "delica tune" at CVI yesterday, via Mardy.
It's been said before, but, it's the best $300 I have spent on my delica. My van was well maintained in Japan, and it was running well. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical that the tune up would make much difference.
However, when they were finished, it was like I was driving new van. Previously, when I stomped on the gas to go up a hill or something, the van was sluggish to respond. It felt like the van just didn't want to work that hard. I just thought that's what to expect from one of these vans. After the tune, it idles smoother, and has way more power when you push it hard. When I step on the throttle, the power is there, and it feels strong - not like I'm pushing it too hard. The real test - I usually have to get a good run at a hill near my house so that my van doesn't slow to a crawl before it reaches the top. Now I sail right up it, like a normal car. Don't get me wrong, it's still a delica, but at least I don't have to be embarrassed anymore.
If you have any doubt that your van is not running at it's best, do this tune up. And to top it all off, they're nice guys. They took the time to show me around my van while it was up on the hoist and give me some maintenance tips. And while I was waiting for my van Mardy took me over to his lot to show me some of the vehicles he has available for sale.
Overall, it was a good experience, I trust them, and heartily recommend them.

Re: Delica Tune at CVI
Well I can't seem to get in touch with anyone at CVI. I sent an email as well as called and left a message on their answering machine (during business hours). Did they go on holidays or something?

Sometimes they just have their heads in a Delica repair. Try them again.

Re: Delica Tune at CVI
I passed your message but Butch is out of town and Edwin is working on the vans by himself so your best bet is to keep calling but don't bother to leave messages, he seemed too busy to check them out!
Good luck.

Re: Delica Tune at CVI
Try on tuesday or there after (when Butch gets back).
It looks like Edwin has his hands full until then.
