Any general/supportive comments on the Isuzu diesel engine? Got any pictures of your ride?

Re: BigHorn in Town
I have lots of supportive imformation on the Isuzu engines, most deisle engines sold through out the world oldes manufactuer in japan on the Isuzu river hence the name!! The 4jg2 series engines is on e of the most widely used engines from fork lifts to marine aplications and also in commercial aplications too. This configuration of engine is the same as the 4jg2 but has an added turbo with waste gate, intercooler and swirl type injectors. Located in the exhaust system there is a engine type brake which is used for winter warm up and can be modified for an engine brake if you so wish. The machine that I have bought is a 1992 Bighorn in mint condition with 265/75r 16 aloy rims loutus susspention rancoh shocks on the front and KYB nitrogen shocks on the rear. air filtration has been changed to K&N for better CFM, Injection pump has be re dialed for better performance I have been up and down this Island that I live on and on some interesting roads too!! Fuel milage is 25 city 30 highway at 110 Km 2300 RPM. if your interested in 4 wheel drives in my opinion there are only 2 The big horn and the mitsubihi Show Gun. I boght mine from Global Garage in Parksville nice honest guy, great clean rides.

That would be U.S. jugs!!
I also owned a 1988 trooper II with the 4 cylinder 2.6 TEC it was a pig but back ten the price of gas was cheep it got about 4 to 5 km per liter city as for this 3.1 td it gets 11- 12 km per liter city. at 80 km per hr it turns 1800 RPM. it also has power shift kiss that rating out the door.

I was looking at those Big Horns on GG's website. Very nice clean rigs. So would parts off the gasser fit a diesel one?

awwwwwwwwwww....poor Big Horn....Me thinks we can be just a WEE bit more accepting of others can't we?...lol...if we can't treat a Big Horn with open arms and the comradery of a tight community...how can we expect our troops to ever get home from The United States of Afghanistan? ;)

Re: BigHorn in Town
Here here....agree. I'm interested in many JDM vehicles. It's even remotely possible that I might pickup a Bighorn to add to the stable...ok - no chance since the wife wouldn't have it - but hey, love to learn about all manner of vehicles. I believe a "post" is an invitation to read the contents - not a requirement. Just my buck & a quarter (inflation).
