Franz Oil Filters-Has anyone installed one?

Post by robinimpey »

Has anyone installed a Franz Filter? I have heard a few people talk about them that really like them and I thought for our diesels they may be a good answer for keeping oil clean, having less used oil to deal with and saving money.

Here's a link to their website. http://www.wefilterit.com/frantz_facts2.htm

My thought was to install one and then switch over to synthetic.

Would like to hear your thoughts and opinions.

Is this idea to save money or to keep the engine clean?
If it is to keep the engine clean, regular spin on filters doing great job for decades. To save money, it will take few years to recover the cost and in the mean time, you will go through so much hassle.

Save money because you use less oil & filters are cheaper. Cleaner oil as it filters better. Better for the enviro as less used oil to deal with.

I figure it should only take about 6 oil changes (about a year and a half for me) to pay for this unit and the bonus would be if I ever sell my van I take the filter off an put it on my next vehicle.

There are also fuel filters which might be beneficial for those running veggie oil that are finding they need to change filters more often.

Hi, Robin,
i do have 2 kind of filter Made in china or japan in stock.
the japan filter i got is been tested back home in the phils.
little bit more money than china one but good quality wont even burst. tested this filter back home for long time guaranttee no problem at all.
if you need this filte pls pM me i do have it in stock. this filter is more heavier than china , taiwan or korea, more filtration.
also pls dont used synthetic if you could as this engine is not design for synthetic oil. you might have problem later just used the heavy 15/40W truck oil.
pm me if you need filter.
thank,
Mardy

Thanks for the tip on the synthetic oil Mardy. If I don't do the Franz filter set up I will need some more filters as it seems like a certain Pajero owner is dipping into the ones I bought from you last November! I'll let you know.

I've had better long-term success with Amsoil dual filters. But they are $$$
