I got tired to get my floors all muddy or smelly from trapping water so I ripped the carpet and replace it with a heavy duty garage flooring material that is extremely dense and oil resistant. I'll see with time if it's strong enough.
Bought a roll at Costco for $200 which is big enough to make 3 vans. I haven't decide if I want to trim it nice so it looks good or leave it extending on the edges so that water isn't alloyed to reach the sub floor (my favorite...) I also ran the captain chairs sliding rail on top of the flooring so that there's no joints for the water to travel down to sub-floor. Here's a few pictures without carpets and with the new floor. There should be enough room to add a plywood sheet on top of the sub-floor...

Looks nice. Do you find it noisy with squeaks when things move on it (like people walking on it)? Also, is it more echo-y in the back? (can't think of a better word atm, lol)
What are those round containers in the second to last pic?
I kept the under-floor in the cargo area. The back needs either some plywood or a foam as the original one is glued to the carpet.
You could also remove everything and start from scratch with plywood. I was kinda rushing to get this done before the end of the weekend so I might try something different next time but for now it works great.
Another option would be to lay it right over the carpet. This stuff is about 1/8" thick so won't make a big difference...
I'm really tempted to leave the edges going up against the walls... that way no water can find it's way on the sub-floor. If you have plywood then it's not so much an issue, with this floor style I'd just wrap it under the plywood and tack it there so it doesn't move.

Do you think you would need longer bolts to secure the captain's chair rail if you had a layer of plywood too? Looks like a great job. If you're looking to sell a piece of your remaining roll I would be happy to buy.

I went to Beatty floors and they had 3'x3' rubber tiles that were scraps. They just gave them to me for free (my grandfather gives them a lot of business and is related to the owner though, but it's worth a try to just phone and ask).
