I don't know about your Pajero not getting stuck, it sure looks like your stuck to me. I think you need my Delica to come pull you out! :-D
Haha, your tow rope will be long rotten before you get the chance! This thing drives itself out of everything I've buried it in. A little rockin' and I was rollin', right up that slope. That rear diff makes all the difference. I'll try to get some more pictures on here.

Here is my 1993 Paj LWB 2.5TD. It's name is Diego, named by my two year old son... We just came up the Duffy Lake road and I took this when I had to stop for a pee break along the way. In fact, I'm not even sure of the name of the lake. Man for being in the middle of the summer, it was cold up there!

As far as the trip went, we travelled up to Whistler the Monday mid-day after the Pemberton Concert was done. Man the traffic was in-sane! It must have taken some of those people the entire day to get back to Vancouver. We stopped at the Tim Hortons in Squamish and it took 40 minutes just to get to the front of the line. Complete craziness... In total, I saw five Delicas throughout the trip. I even got to share a wave with one of them - what a great family. Because of the rock slide on the '99, when it was time to return, we had to do the Duffy lake road all the way around. Apart from the Pajero taking it's time up the steeper inclines, it ran most excellently. I love JDM's. Oh - and thanks to Sabbir at Maximum Overdrive for the roof rack. It works like a charm!

I always make a point of waving whenever I see or pass a Delica or Pajero on the road - sometimes I get the waves back. It's a great community.

Awesome Clint! Here's me getting stuck ("me" as in the truck, not the orange kid), I pushed a cross member onto a hump between the tire tracks and couldn't back off :( Where were you robinimpey???? I needed you to jump on the front driver's side bumper ;) while cradling your tow rope

Where was I? I was driving where ever I wanted as my Delica never gets stuck! It sure looks like you need a little Delica assistance! :-D

Thinking about selling it for a LWB with the 2800 TDi, but I'd miss my little shortie...

Wow! Pretty impressive! What is a bumper you have on your Pajero? Is it ARB?

Thanks... the solid axle guys don't think it's that impressive - they are looking for flex, but I always give them the IFS salute over big obstacles, then make it anyway. :-D

Bumper - it's an East Coast Bullbar - all aluminum, I would guess it's lighter than the stocker, but very beefy... It'll be transferred to the new truck, and the stocker will be going back on....

Hey Phil:

I am sure that your bumper will not fit on a newer Pajero. So out of courtesy to you I would be happy to take it off your hands. I will even let you come wheeling with me to enjoy the short wheelbase and awesome bumper. :-D :-D :-D

I don't think I've seen many of the SWBs - are they not that common? I like them better than the LWB, but of course, I couldn't use one right now because there are still too many children at home. Gotta get rid of some of them... :?

Doug, you are truly a gentleman... but the answer is "nice try".

Mara, the swb's are not as common, but there are a few around. On the auction sites, I always saw about 2/3 LWBs to 1/3 SWBs...

The SWB is funny, because its small like a tracker, but has a 9" rear diff, and massive running gear like the bigger one. :-D (93 and up with the 2.8 has a 9.5" rear diff!!)

Well you can't say I didnt try :-D :-D Let me know when you are buy your next truck. I am thinking about doing the same. Need more power. I would like the auto as well to get better hwy speed. I find I am always doing 110 and the revs are to high for my liking. I will probably wait till next fall at least. If I sell mine now I will be unhappy about all the time and money I have put into this one, with very little return. I finally have it where I want it. Only thing left to do is the exhaust manifold gasket. I have a small leak when it is cold.

I keeping with the spirit of this thread here is a short vdo of the Paj trying to pull a FS Chevy out of a hole. Note to self.... the factory tow point is way to cheesy to be actually used for pulling a big truck out of a hole. I had tried the winch but it just pulled my truck across the gravel. I ended up winching him through the mud that he put his truck into.
