CHEAP!!! side mount muffler

Post by kidwrecked »

For those of you who need the space in the back and have the time (and a welder) but don't have the money. Here is an alternative to a side mount exhaust.

I cut the tail pipe off to install my home made trailer hitch. It wasn't really necessary but it was just in the way. As air care requires a tail pipe to shove thier sniffer up I needed to either put it back on or put the exhaust out the side. I chose the later.

I didn't have the money to have a nice 2 1/2" stainless installed so I just took my old muffler and piping, did a little zip cutting and welding. Ta-Da, a cheap and effective alternative. :-)

It won't last as long but it did the job.

Just thought you'd all like to see.

I did about the same thing too! I already had a 2.25" exhaust, just hacked it up and tacked it back together.

I'd like to fix it up real nice with the tip I bought on the full-length system, but the muffler rattles, so even though it's stainless I'll be saving up for a new one before I do that.
