This type of battery is better than gell-cell technology, it's liquid immobilized by glass fibers so it retains the full capacity to charge and discharge like a regular car battery and the spiral cell design gives it a large amount of lead surface area, so even higher performance and capacity than flooded cell batteries.

Well there you go, even better than the description from optima. but either way, I have 20 of them , and they are at the lowest price you will find anywhere.
Re: OPTIMA RED TOP GELL BATTERIES
Question, can you replace old stock dual batteries with one 1000cca optima? is there any problems or limitations in doing this?

Re: OPTIMA RED TOP GELL BATTERIES
sure you can, one 1000cca battery will MORE than handle the delicas needs, but the dual batteries were generally for colder climate and not very strong batteries anyway, so if you run a single high output batterie you can still make everthing work, but you will have to run the second positive termanil to possibly a front mount on that battery to get all your connections working, I have dual optimas on all my vehicles and on my boat. I dont like to use anything else .

This is the way I did mine... Works great! If you go with Optima, you might want to consider the yellow top which seem more suitable for our application.
