On behalf of my brother Richard who now owns a Delica in Montreal...
A couple weeks after getting his SuperExceed my brother lost his tail lights and dash lights. The fuse is good. Still has brake lights and flashers...
The clock light doesn't even dim if he turns on his headlight, nothing happens. But if he flicks his fog lights then everything works fine. So he's been driving with fog lights on at night so that the tail lights and dash lights come on.
Any idea?
Thx!

Weird. Have you talked to Jay about it?

Re: Weird electrical issue...
I have the same issue:
http://www.delica.ca/forum/marker-light ... -3529.html
My temporary fix was to run a + cable patched from the rear cigarette lighter in the back to one of the tail markers. It got ALL the markers and the dash lights working again.
Apprently there is a relay which controls these lights and dimming etc, but I didn't look for them yet.

Did he change the stereo? Too many times I've read of the original stereo being changed out and then there being any number of electrical problems afterwards.
Just a thought...

Re: Weird electrical issue...
where did you guys get your compliance issues done?
Re: Weird electrical issue...
my delica was complianced by Mardy/CVI.
the stereo IS stock, however I did have an aftermarket one installed. After a crackhead stole the faceplate, I took the unit out and re-installed the stock.
Lights stopped working several months after that.

Yup, he got a new radio installed then drove over 5000km without problems. Now that he made it back home that's when the problem happened...

Re: Weird electrical issue...
Just talking off the top of my head but I am going to say it is the headlight switch. For some reason the fog lights seem to control the park lights as well (they do on mine). I am guessing that if he pops off the column covers and puts a jumper across the parklight circuit on the headlight switch, all will come to life.
I will have to pop my covers off to take a look at which 2 wires that would be and let you know.
