Actually it was Profister's find, I just tagged along, but there are a few places I would like to go but "they" have removed the bridges so it requires fording and some seriously de-activated roads, so it will take some planning. Also, it is very deep into the bush....

Yes, I think Falco was so inspired by the beauty of the Lakes in the fall that he was about to write a song. :-D
While he is working on it I would like to kick in and present some other shots in the chronological order. I have 67 shots selected out of who knows how many but I an not sure if I am patient enough to post all of them. Falco has his set so we are trying to compliment each other in this post. Unlike Falco-poet I will be brief and start with making a statement that I come to this area year after year since 2003 when I ran out of film (10 rolls) in 2 days taking pictures. Let's go.

Count us in for next year's trip please, looks like a fantastic place :)

Again, thanks for sharing, both of you!

Have I mentioned how much I'm enjoying this Fall thing that you guys get in the Northern Hemisphere? In Aus, there is no real traditional fall, as there are hardly any deciduous trees in the wild, so seeing sparks of orange everywhere over here at the moment is fantastic :)

In fact, in Tasmania, my home state, there is only 1 native deciduous tree, and you have to hike for about 3 hours to be able to see that in a reasonably accessible area. It's awesome to see, but you don't get the constant barrage as you do here.

Lovin it :-) :M

WOW! Some really top-shelf shots. You've got a great eye and a real way with a camera Profister. Thanks. And hey Jaz, enjoy this fall and the delicious colour display - it's the best, most dramatic one in decades, maybe ever, here on the west coast. Generally by this time the wet and wind has removed them from the trees, and the summer weather leading up to this has been just right for the trees to make a big supply of sugar. I even think it's fair to say this year's display rivals the big shows of the eastern hardwood forests :M :-D

Excellent shots Falco. Ive tootled around that part of the province as well. That couple in Boston Bar was a hoot. That was a Su-Bow-Ru they were driving correct ?

Hey Sergiy,
Did you make it all the way up the west side to the Lytton ferry? I think you were throwing that idea around last summer...crossing over at Boston Bar then heading North from Bend past Nahatlatch / Kwoiek and then the ferry accross at Lytton. But my memory isn't what it used to be! I had heard the the MoF had taken out the bridge at Kwoiek crossing. Haven't done it since 1990 or maybe 91. Found a couple of old cemeteries from the homesteader days and the transition from wet West Coast to dry interior in one trip is noticeable and fun!
Nice post for sure Falco!

Hi Sean,

We were going to drive from Kwoiek to Lytton ferry but Falco was busy with poetry and me and my wife were picking pine mushrooms. As a result we ran out of time and decided to spare this trip for another occasion. We know exactly where the road is as we passed it twice. I wonder if you are willing to join us to go there.

Sergiy.
