If it's an engine problem, a reputable diesel mechanic should not be afraid. These have relatively 'simple' or 'normal' diesel engines, it just happens to be stuck under the front seats.

Try Sheldon at Valley Performance. The only problem is that he is in the Slocan Valley, almost at Lemon Creek, at Perry's Siding. Hope this is helpful.
