Re: glow plug controller
Glow plug controller - most electronics shops will rebuild it for $80-150 . Parts are generic.
2" body lift -
I made a kit a while ago. Can probably churn one out if you need it.

I added a 2" body lift, twin piston brakes and an electric fan to bypass the stock clutch fan.
On the Delica, you can do the twin-piston caliper upgrade and put in an electric fan as well. I'm going to do that on my new rig.

Re: glow plug controller
thats sweet! so basically you need rubber spacers( princess auto??) and high grade stainless bolts? the hardest part is rewelding the bumpers?
so here is my dilemna with the glow plug controller; i go to start the truck and there is no "click" when i turn on the key, some say it is the computer, some a relay and some say the glow plug controller. so i step on the gas and crank it til the glow plugs ar hot which takes a few seconds. then it starts with a huge puff of smoke and rough idle for a few seconds.then it starts it usual clicking til the truck is close to warm. then it is fine and starts all day no problems but still no clicking when i start it. i checked the computer and it isnt burnt anywhere. i talked to a few shops and everyone says different things. i dont want to take it in to some loco importer if they dont know what they are doing and pay them for nothing. been there done that. I got quoted to change my belts and seals at 650 then it took them so long it ended up costing me 1000.
so you know any good deisel mechanics that are trustworthy, not an importer playing trial and error when fixing jdm trucks?
thanks for your help

Re: glow plug controller
I do.
Shoot me a private message with you name and number and I'll refer you to a good mechanic (if you're in the lower mainland) or an electrician to fix your ECU otherwise known as computer OR glow plug control unit.
On the Pajero it's underneath the dash on the passenger side firewall. Three 12mm nuts hold it in place.
It probably has some parts/capacitors,etc.. that need to be replaced which is common on ECU's.
If you take it out and take it to an electronics shop, most places will fix it.
It doesn't matter what vehicle it comes out of. The capacitors/boards/IC's are generic automotive electronic parts.
I know this because BlueStreak rep reconditions ALL ECU's for all manufacturer's and I watched them do mine. Was pretty neat.
As for the body lift, I stronly recommend against the redneck hockeypuck way to lift.
Do it properly.
You can get a kit from these guys and the kits are top notch :

(Montero = Pajero)
You want 2" 'D' Kit with 'HD' add-on at the very least.
