Sliding door handle not working

Post by brewskie »

Seem to be having a problem opening my sliding door. I can open it from the inside but not from outside. Any ideas as to how to fix it?

Cheers

Hi, robert, you should open maybe check the gap between the robber sealant towards the door put little silicone & it will make it easy to open but if the rubber is sticking in the door then its hard. buy from cnadian tire it say silicone woth 6 or 8 dollar then apply to the rubber from sticking the center door.
call me if this wont work. enjoy your ride.
cheers;
Mardy

Thanks Mardy.

The problem seems to have gone away for now. It was not an issue with the rubber seal around the opening rather a mechanical issue. When I attempted to open the door from the outside, I would not feel the leaver engage. I am thinking it may have been iced up.

I will let you know if it becomes a problem again.

Cheers
