Cool dash and instrument cluster mods!

Post by delicat »

Almost forgot of a few mods that I've installed on Mitsushi...

A big thanks to Bruce who gave me these little extras, wish I had brought some back with me but didn't work out this way, sorry!

These were all laser cut thin stainless steel sheets. Quite a nice fit as well! The best part is at night when the green instrument cluster lights reflect on the plate at night.

There's also the remote for the fog lights up front.

And a new radio that has a great clock! I've put a bin under the radio but lost the top finishing part. Don't really want to fix it up for now 'cause I'll probably fit something else in that space at some point.

The right-hand portion of your stereo, is that an LCD screen that displays an image of an flip-style clock, or is it the real thing? I gotta ask, because there is a post of car stereo with tubes (VERY retro, and ubercool).

Hey Paul,

It's just a LCD but the best thing about it is that it uses the iPod screen (perfect mach) even for searching/navigating... Actually, this stereo doesn't even have a CD player! Just iPod and USB direct connection. I really like it. Also like the fact that the volume and main controls are at the center of the unit, good for RHD... Plus when you take off the face plate it's only half of the front plate (LCD screen doesn't come off) which makes it more handy to hide/take home...
