Today I changed the oil, filter, air filter, and glow plugs. I have the fuel filter to do next and I was in need of any info that may be of benefit.
The repair manual is very helpful. I was looking for new tires today and the salesperson asked about alignment specs and low and behold there they were. Good book!
Cheers,
WM

Re: Fuel Filter Replace
Ok lets see...
1) disconnect line from tank at filter (pinch or plug)
2) disconnect line to engine at filter (drain excess)
3) remove filter
4) replace filter
5) reconnect line from engine to new filter
6) unpinch/unplug line from tank
7) pump/bleed and attach to new filter
8) something is not gelling??
9) fuel spilling everywhere...panic ensues. (followed by profantity)

Shouldnt that be attach filter THEN pump/bleed ?

By the time you realize that my signature has no real message or life altering words of wisdom, you're too far into it to stop reading until you are finished
