Calgary Mechanic

Post by White Mule »

I have been going to Robert at Stevo Auto Clinic since 2000 (whilst in my 71 westy era). He specializes in German makes. He has saved my bacon on many occasions and I have no problem recomending him. He likes these machines and knows diesel. When I dropped of White Mule yesterday, he drove me home. Tonight (8:30) he picked me up! The old saying goes, "you need a good accountant, a good doctor and a good priest. They forgot to mention mechanic and carpenter. A+
I also wanted to thank Mardy for calling me back so promptly today.
There are still some good people around. :-D
Thanks,

White Mule

White Mule mentioned them to me, and when he described the location I recognized them. They are just up the road from my vet, and they always have a bunch of VW vans and other VWs sitting there.

I dropped in today -- and chatted with the BC Delica owner who is living across the steet -- and talked to one of the mechanics. They are very familiar with diesels, Bosch injection pumps, and turbos. The mechanic I talked to, Don(?), is also unhappy with GCL and their work on IPs.

It seems we in Calgary have an alternative to Pro-Active or GCL, and a complementary location to Kirkham.

EDIT: should have posted address and such:
Stevo Auto Clinic

From the brief conversation, I think they now send to a shop in Vanc. Less than half the price of GCL, and apparently the place that GCL has sent some of the IPs for rebuild

keywords for searching: injection pump, repair, rebuild, Calgary.
