I can't find the thread that was discussing briefly about the lame bandwidth on JP radios compared to domestic airwaves here. Haven't sourced it yet but my contact in JP told me about "band-expanders" available to slide in the existing radio and usually cassette stereo systems in most imported vehicles. My first vehicle I bashed out the (most likely) usable stereo and replaced with my CD player set. For those that want to use their old cassette tapes, maybe try and locate the site. So far I couldn't find it. I was told something like - ~bandexpander.com?? Gave up right away but will ask buddy in JP when he gets back from USA and add to this site.

That's the way to go if you keep the original or have a Japanese spec radio, but I'm just as happy putting in a new deck.
Just use the color codes listed here for a swap;

Keep in mind that you will not be able to get all local stations on japanese radios no matter what. You can read my posts here: http://www.delica.ca/forum/japanese-ste ... -2021.html
