Little Delica T-Shirt

Post by impalator »

Hi everybody,

I did a little bit of printing and "iron-on-transferring" last night and made such a cute little Delica T-Shirt for our 5 1/2 month old that I just had to post it for the Delica Fans to see.....

Have a great weekend,
Chris

That is cool! My wife is shaking her head but I love it! Well done! :-D

I taught my oldest boy to say "Delica" when he was 18 months old. Now he can point them out when he sees one driving by and calls them "Del-ca". Again, wifey is shaking her head!

Hi Delicat,

Just showed my wife my post with the T-shirt... she too had to shake her head... went on to get her to read your post about your 18 month old... and guess what.. she shook her head again... (although with a smile on her face...)

I think it's fun!

Our two year old has an awesome Deli-radar. He can point them out well before the rest of us see them, and he gets so excited and shouts "Del-ca!"

Large, as in one that would fit me !

My 3 year old wants one too - She said "Daddy, thats your Goofy Van on that baby!!"

If you're up to making a few of the stensils, I'm sure we could come to some financial arrangement.

Well Done

Impalator, do you mind if I ask where you got the transfer sheets from? It's Australia Day on Sunday/Monday (so don't be worried if you see naked aussies with aussie flags on cruising around), and I was thinking about making up a few t-shirts so I'm not one of the naked crew!

I assume you might be able to get them from somewhere like Walmart, or is it more specific over here?

Please make a mental note, follow up on this 18 years from now, we'll see what he's driving then!

I think you can get transfer sheets at stationary stores, I would say to try Office Depot, Monks, Staples, or such, stores that sell lazer labels should have them

Hi there,

Yes, the transfer sheets can be purchased at the usual stationery stores - Staples, Office Depot - But I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart has'em too (I think that's where I got my last batch...)

Make sure you take the "Transfers for Dark T-Shirts" as the ones for white T-Shirts only show against a white background (and with white T-Shirt Transfers you also need to print a "mirror image" - which can lead to wasted transfers due to improper printer settings - whereas Dark T-Shirt transfers can of course also be printed onto light / white T-Shirts)...

These only work with Ink-Jet printers - but I saw that you can also get ones for colour laser printers (saw it online somewhere).

Important: You must wash gentle cycle and turn the garments inside out... or your transfer will only last about 10 washes and then look like poop (I am not allowed to say c...p anymore on this forum 8-) )

Cheers, Chris
