REGULAR WVO SOURCE AVAILABLE IN VANCOUVER !!!

Hi all,

I just secured a great WVO source in Vancouver near Fraser and 41st Ave.

They will have 25L/day!!! So 175 liters available weekly, that's huge!

Best part, they change their oil daily so you can't ask for a better situation. And they are some kind of Asian health restaurant so the oil should be really nice.

The restaurant will open at the end of the month. I'm offering this to the Delica community but need an answer by the end of the week so if I don't hear back I'll offer it to the larger WVO community...

Just to emphasize and clarify, this is a LOT of high quality oil. Who ever is willing to take it over will need to have the capacity to do so. It'd be perfect for a local coop but easier said than done!

I've received a few PM, I would suggest you simply post it right here as if one individual can't take on the entire load maybe someone could volunteer the pickup, someone else the storage and filtration, someone else the work... you get the picture, COOP!

I may be able to do the storage. I'll know in a few days.

As for pickups, I can do that in exchange for filtered oil. (pickup and deliver in the lower mainland)

Well I would like to get some WVO as well if there is still some not spoken for. I would be proccessing the oil in Squamish, I haven't gotten my proccessing settup yet but I have been planning. It may be difficult to get a central location going for a true Co-Op but that would be great :)

As an option the Delica Community could "Co-Op" in picking up the oil daily, not sure that would work but it is an alternative.

Kudos David, hard to say no to that good of a source, and with such a Delica demand………. Nice, guess airmail here would be an expensive way to send me some WVO?

A health food restaurant that generates almost two jugs of oil a day; how much deep fried do they sell? But do understand how old fryer oil imparts too much taste on the food in a short amount of time.

I'm in need of an alternative source as well as my girlfriend hurt her knee and can't carry the oil down the stairs at her work right now.

Between you, Jesse and me in the shadow that should work out. Do you have storage and filtration set up ready? 'Cause that's a fair amount to deal with and I already have my share to deal with and won't be able to do much more.

Also, and I hope it sounds fair... I would like to have access to part of the oil if for a freak reason I lost my own supply. I don't see this happening but just to be on the safe side!

When could we all meet up? I'd like to introduce you to the place and go over the specifics... Weekend?

Can I join in?

We have one of those big 1000 litre storage containers in our Burnaby back yard (clean, was used for water only), you know those big metal caged plastic containers for liquids, which we got for this very purpose. It is near the back lane, 2 feet above ground level, easy road access to other delica for filling/refueling. But we don't have any filtration system. Open to ideas, mini co-op? We could at least store the new fuel until the filtration system gets going. Just off the Gaglardi freeway exit. Willing to help, Christine.

PS: Welcome to meet at our place Friday or Saturday evening (anytime after 5pm) ... homemade cookies ... (busy with radio class daytime Saturday and Sunday).
