Deli's attract Deli's

Post by chrisbouchard »

I work at a ski shop fitting boots in Vernon. today another deli driver came into the shop strictly because he saw my Deli in the parking lot. He lives in Vancouver but is living up here working on a construction project in town.

Craig has had his Deli for over a year and so we got to talking. Turns out that we were both able to teach each other something about our vans

. I have been cursing the Japanese whenever i try to fill up my wind sheild reservoir because up until this afternoon i wasnt aware the entire thing PULLS OUT!!! I have bought a plastic hosed funnel to make the funny angle between the bottom of the dash and the top of the reservoir, and now i dont need it anymore :-D :-D :-D .

Craig wasnt aware that once the hubs are locked you can shift to 4X4 on the fly and now he does!

Im really glad Craig decided to pull in and visit, if anyone else see's my 92 hi roof exceed with a green extension chord wrapped around my bambi bar and a "VOLEURZ" sticker on the back, stop on in and teach me a thing or two!!!

That's a good story... I always hope that I see Deli's when I'm underway... just so I can wave, flash the lights or honk...

As far as the windshieldwasher fluid is concerned... I knew that the container had to be pulled out... but I couldn't get it out. I pulled pretty good and started to worry that if I were to use my superhuman power, I would break the thing before it pulled out...

When it really got cold and the Japanese water in the container froze, I had to do something and I decided to give it one last heavy duty pull before doing the hose-and-funnel thing... And I got it out... Filled some -40 Antifreeze windshieldwasherfluid and I was good to go...

But a Deli-Owners work is never done... lots and lots of things to learn...

Cheers,
Chris
