Sprocket B, Sheared key

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Sprocket B, Sheared key

Post by woodwater »

Yeah, well.....

As in the title you can see that my sprocket B has sheared off the key on the crankshaft. I've been trying to remove it and replace it, however, I can't seem to get it out and was hoping that maybe someone here has dealt with this problem and has a nice, elegant solution for me.

Thanks in advance.

Is it a moon key? Like a rounded end on it. (_____)
Someone on here must know!
If it a rounded then you can tap on one end of it with a small drift,
until the other side pops up enough to grab with the good old vice grips.
You can always call and bug Glen at CC auto,he would know for sure.
I haven't had to do one on a deli yet.

How the f did that happen anyway?

not right yet
