Ever have one of those days

Post by Firesong »

Went ice fishing... Fishing was poor but
Took my normal fishing buddy. Here's the history
Last trip : smeared chocolate into the seats in my car
time before: spilled a 'beverage' while parked and sitting on the ice
down the side of the door (inside) of my dad's 4x4 truck (quite a new truck)
This trip...<deep gasp> he dumped a drink on the dash of the
Delica and killed.. absolutely killed my 700$ kenwood deck !!!!

I think it's time that he simply comes in his own vehicle. Alone or
with someone else. It's like having a 40 year old kid in the vehicle.

Ok, Rant over.
oh, and I can't afford even a cheap deck to replace it with.
Just moved it over from my westy a week ago :(

Sounds like you need a new hobby - one that doesn't involve the use of a motorised vehicle and liquids.

You went fishing right, alright.

And yes there's always fishing buddies that make for great stories years later; and headaches at the moment. (that's a biggie, catch and release - start trolling for a new fishing buddy).

All it takes is a little time to smile at the crappy fishing moments.

Anyway enough cliches'.
Said drink got spilled moving the vehicle 4 feet so the wind didn't
whip into the back gate and through. It was about -17ish.

I agree with you all. I'm dropping the accident prone fishing friend
for something a little less costly. Since he isn't going to contribute
to a new deck. Incidently last time we went fishing he dropped, crushed
up and smeared chocolate into the car seat. I banned him from eating
in the car.. he was mortified I would do that. The time before he dumped
his beer down the inside of my dad's newer truck door. I guess I should
have learned.

Next time it's 'we are going fishing, feel free to come along in your own
vehicle. If you can't afford the gas to do it alone maybe you should go
work and make the cash first'

:)
I had the dash apart to replace the left hand front speaker, it somehow
was coated in red thick pop. Had the consistancy of frozen cough medicine.
I don't know how it got into everything that bad.

However I did get some good pictures of the Delica on the ice with my son
rolling down the slopes. I will have to figure out how things are posted here.
