Rear Heat.

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Rear Heat.

Post by Bessie the Mud Slayer »

First off, I did search, and spent a half hour finding nothing much helpful.

So, rear heat stopped working. No big 'tell', it just worked one day, next day it didn't. I checked fuses, all are well. I'm getting motivated to rip the rear heat system apart; any advice? Tips?

You're sure it's not the vent selector you have set to 'roof'. Heat apparently only works when vents are set to 'floor'. Just a suggestion.

Hey,
So a switch is hooped maybe or the fan is done, in you can get under there on the starboard beam (under on the driver side in the middle)
you could try feeding the fan some power with a jumper wire and see if it works, then you would know whether you have to change the fan or hunt down switches and other stuff.

Also has Bessie been slaying any mud lately?
That whole fan unit in kinda suseptable to mud and moisture so it might just be a crap connection somewhere. Clean up any ones you can reach.
Also really look close at your fuses they are not always all black and toasty when there are done.
(I know you said you checked already)

Good luck and right on 8-)

Well I finally got under her and checked the fan. No power at fan, but power at fuses......
I guess I start tracing it back and find the weak link.
