Delica Club Bribie Island Day Out. Queensland, Australia.

Post by Aussie Brenden »

G'day Delica people, I thought I may grace your site with a few photo's taken last Saturday at Bribie Island. The weather was perfect, the water was excellent and the people are fantastic. Terrific day in the sun cruising the beach. :-D

Ha! What a pleasant day you had, Brenden. We had this coffee meet this past Sunday and some of us moved to a garage to work on mods so I decided to wash the van.... then it started to snow. It was such a lovely sunny day when this flurry came in from nowhere. What all did you do once you got there?

Hi!

Isn't Brisbie just north of Brisbane? I was in the area for a few months just over a year ago, loved it!

We all congregated near a lagoon opposite the surf and had lunch and a swim. After a couple of hours we drove as far as we could to the end of the island to see the old war bunkers and had another swim. I think it worked out that we got onto the island 2 hours before dead low tide and got off the beach about 2 or 3 before high tide. Getting on and off the beach is generally governed by the tides.
It was fairly easy driving up until the time we had to get off the beach. It was a reasonably steep climb followed by a big bump at the exit which meant lots of pedal and no slowing for bumps, the 2 L300's before me got plenty of air getting out. :-D

Here is a link to the page the trip was organised on. There are more pics on here as well.

That's right Dave, I only live 20 mins from Bribie so it was pretty convenient for me, most of us there don't live far at all really.

Cool! I love the sun blind. We were talking about something like that just the other day.
