Front chrome guard replacement

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Front chrome guard replacement

Post by jmtoriel »

I was happily parked on Ash in Vancouver in a meter parking spot, when I returned to "Zoiks", my 1992 Super Exceed, to find an apology note on the windshield and a completely bent front chrome guard! :o After hearing the woman's explanation, I still don't know how she did it (see attached pic)??
I tried the Mitsubishi dealership on 2nd and no dice. My mechanic, Mark Roza, from Adria Import Car Service on E. Broadway is on the search for a new front bumper/chrome guard as it looks as if it cannot be bent back into shape.

Anyone have any leads on this part?...

Many thanks to anyone with a lead on this.

J-M

Hey,
Looks like you could maybe bend it back if you took it off the van to do the bending.
If not the usual suspects should have it for you Japanoid,Amazing Auto (both in Vancouver)
or CC auto on the island.

Looks like only the bumper got the bashing which is good I guess.

You could always bend the other one out too and it would look like
a big bug ready to eat left hand drive vehicles at stop lights . (kidding..mostly)

Right on! 8-)

I've bent mine back and forth twice already.

The bars are butter soft. Doesn't take much to move them. :M

Hey J-M,

I figured I'd run into you on the forum eventually. That bites about the bambi bar. Looks like she caught it from the backside while trying to park in front of you?

Thanks for your hospitality while I was out on the coast. All of the other sessions went very well. I'm planning to arrange a series of training sessions here in the late summer/fall to get some of our candidates out of the gate 2 years early.

My Delica has been great! Best vehicle purchase I've ever made. My biodiesel supplier is offline for the moment though, so I'm burning dyno till he re-appears.

Hope your family is well.

Cheers,
Shane Jolley
