Me too, but what I miss since a few month is the waving hand. Maybe just every fifth Delica owner waves back. :M

I guess to some, it's just another vehicle. Being in Ontario I NEVER see a Delica (other than mine, of course). When I was out on the coast buying mine, I was so excited about getting one that I was waving at all the Delica drivers BEFORE I had one! They were likely wondering who the freak was in the Toyota rental.

The only Deli driver that I recall waving in BC was a fellow who I think was driving a Deli pick-up with a dog in the passenger seat on highway 3, somewhere in the interior.

It seems everyone I talk to here wants one, so there may be a few more around before long.

Here in Vic the waving has all but gone. Except when I see someone I know.

Ouch! :? Never went outta style when I was motoring in my old VW bus... We don't often leave the Campbell River area so know most of the delicas about by sight and pretty much always excahnge a wave. And hey, I even got one from a Pajero the other day - and he waved first! :M :-D

when in the Delica I wave at all RHD vehicles unfortunately few seem to even notice, and fewer still return the gesture. When on foot or in my work truck I give a thumbs up.

I think that sometimes when you wave at people driving Delicas they honestly do not see you, as they are concentrating on driving the "RHD" vehicle. That or we have zombies in our midst :? .

What I do do is wave at other non Delica types to make up my quota. School buses are always fun and I get a lot of response, especially when I get the Miss Lil' Bitchi to dance. Every so often I wind up at a traffic light beside an Hydro Bus driver, we are usually at the same level & shoulder to shoulder ~ I give him or her drag racing hand gestures and rev my engine a little, givin' her a little turbo. That usually gets a rise out of them.
