Lights for the L300

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Lights for the L300

Post by Firesong »

Just a little note. I applied the lights mod/fix for my 1990 delica
and the lights are now appearing brighter. The dim lights are on
without the brights on the dim setting. The brights have both
on as they should. Looks good.

I figured since there are so many deer on my commute I would
upgrade the lights to the sealed bulb sylvania bright lights.
Popped in there and presto. I will try them tonight in the dark :)
on the way to hockey and maybe a little adjusting once up
against the side of the rink.

So far I have to say that I am super impressed with my
Delica. Nothing out of the ordinary for an older vehicle.
Heck of a lot more bulletproof than my VW was. But then
again that was part of the mystique.

Taking it ice fishing on sunday.
Have a good weekend.

What light mod/fix are you referring to?

Hi
You can check into this link:
http://www.delica.ca/forum/square-holle ... s-984.html
read it over.
I was finding the same problems with my L300 with the lights
being pretty dim and thought it odd that in dim mode all 4 lights
would come on. And brights weren't much brighter.
I changed the outside and inside of the prongs in the 3 way plug
as indicated for both the driver and passenger outside lights.
All of a sudden brighter lights and dim = 2 lights, brights = 4 lights.

I did notice the dims were pointed pretty high and had to adjust them
down as was mentioned by one driver in the above post.

Also replaced the lights with sylvanias.. loved them last night.

Aaaah, ok. I have the later projector-style lights.
