Show + Tell, Vancouver Weds 25 March 4:30-6:30pm 2009
Hi All,
Show + Tell, Vancouver Weds 25 March 4:30-6:30 pm 2009.
McDonald's, Burnaby, Willingdon just North of Highway 1 exit.
Drop by, even just for 5 minutes, to show off your Delica to Cinjay (who is Jason and his wife & 2 kids age 5 & 3) who hope to buy a Delica this week. Join in, especially if you have your kids along, so they can see your ideas.
Cinjay are Flying in to Vancouver from Alberta, thus have not seen many Delica, but done lots of homework. They would love to meet you and your Delica. And we love to talk about our Deli's, it's all good.
Meet at McDonald's, Burnaby, Willingdon just North of Highway 1 exit. Yes, it is also their head office, huge kids area, TV's & leather sofas for adults, the usual menu. Easy driving access, we meet in the east parking lot, nearest the Willingdon entrance.
If driving from the south (& the Highway), can't turn left off Willingdon any more, as now a divided road, just follow the signs to turn right and the road crosses under the highway, easy.
You know you wanna talk about your Deli Baby, so let's welcome a new family to our Community.
See you there ... no-shows don't get my home-made bread ! My fresh-baked from-scratch not-machiine-made yummy bread, warm from the oven ... it's even better than rice crispy squares ... ooohh I just love my inverter and second battery .. The TardisDeli TeaHouse and Bakery.
Cheers, Christine.

Wow, great turnout. The Delica Community Rocks.
"Cinjay" Jason & Cin & family got all their questions answered, and got to sit in several different types, and hear various opinions. Several delica's with kid seats were there, so they could show how theirs were installed. Thanks to everyone for welcoming our newest Family, who have decided to purchase a super exceed crystal lite from Mardy.
Other Delica Issues Discussed:
Several owners want to make bike racks, or modify racks to fit. So, let's schedule a bike rack installation evening soon (some want to put on front bambi bar Mitch style, some want to modify car style straps to hang from rear door, some looking at attaching to trailer hitch).
Easter Camping: it's a go, lotsa folk wanna, so considering Hope area (need to stay below 1000 feet for the snow line).
"Glen" of Vurv (the handmade centre consoles) showed his new project, swoopy wood box to go where the cool box isnt, for extra storage or emergency gear, or to put in 12 volt cooler unit.
Delicat David showed his new shackles lift that he had specially made.
As usual, quick fixes were done on site, "Shugyss" Desmond rewired his broken cigarette lighter with help from Jay, now he can charge his electronic toys again.
Cheers, Christine. (who demonstrated the joys of an inverter to keep homemade bread warm).
