New guy..........howdie

Post by Artacoma »

Hi all

I've been lurking here for a few weeks. Hopefully I'll be a 91 Super Exceed owner this week if it all goes through.
I'm a carpenter in Victoria and plan to use my van for work and whatever.
I currently drive a fullsize GM van for work and a 75mini otherwise. I figure if I morphed the two I'd get close to a Delica.
I'll post some pics as soon as get my new wheels.

Rik,

The Delica is the perfect size for a carpenter (i should know!). It fits a sheet of plywood perfectly, and also it will take up to 12 foot 2x4's... yup its great. Welcome to the club.

Thanks Josh I took a tape measure with when I testdrove it but totally forgot to measure anything. When I got home I really didn't care because I loved the van.I had mymechanic check it out and all is cool.

I just talked to the seller and I get to pick it up on wed.

Thanks Niekt too. I was in Holland to visit relatives 2 years ago and hope to go back in a year or two for a cycle/canal tour.

Hi Rik,

Friesland, that's where my family comes from :D (live near The Hague myself), for a closer look at our family tree you can take a look on our site.

Only 7 hours left now before you get your van so let's say 8 hours for you to post some pictures ?

i'm a carpenter as well (in abbotsford). Within the first two days of having my delica i had already closed the trunk on a 4 foot level and ripped the doors acrylic lining ...owchhh. it especially hurt because mine was mint to begin with. leave it to a carpenter ...eh.
i got 520 km per 16gallons on my first fill driving in town (this was last week). even better than my 4cyl ranger.

enjoy your delica when you get it, it's worth the wait.

ps i changed the front brakes within a few days of having it. the pads were available at lordco for $90.
