Re: 40 MPG
since I started tracking my mileage I have averaged 11.4 L/100km, I've had as low as 8.6 and as high as 14.7 (both of those were highway trips)
my average has been worsening over time though, so likely my starting issue is also an efficiency issue of some form.

Re: 40 MPG
basically, the closest one i can get since owning a delica for nearly 5 1/2 year now is between 22 to max 25 miles per gallon.
beyond that i dont even my van is properly tune. but 40 is ?
i wish i can get that mileage its impasible.
Cheers;

Re: 40 MPG
I just checked on my last tank to see what I was getting and I'm 23 mpg with less than half the tank being highway travel.

Re: 40 MPG
well...obviously I'm not buying any of your guys rigs. I'm buying the 40mpg one. I'm so excited. I'll hardly need to put in any fuel.
I'm gonna offer them double the asking price....I should see that back in fuel savings
alone within the week

Re: 40 MPG
The Miss Lil' Bitchi gets about 24 mpg (Imperial) in the city. On the highway it's more like 29-30 mpg (Imperial). Perhaps the vendor is measuring in SAE (American) gallons.

2 theories to that statement
Either you forgot to untie the laces , or you have a big 'ead
( 3.785 litres to the USG)
By the time you realize that my signature has no real message or life altering words of wisdom, you're too far into it to stop reading until you are finished

Re: 40 MPG
You'd think I would be all over this one, being a painter an' all! First they did it in gallons (Imperial); then they went with 4.55 litres ~ but because all the painters kept referring to these units as gallons, anyway, they decided to go back to gallons (3.78) ~ and every time they had to retool for the packaging... the price has been ever increasing... I am shocked

Paul I think your good economy is due to all that wax you use, your delica must be more aerodynamic than a F1 car!
My method of coating the outside with mud and "speed dents" is working though, I get about 22mpg avg.. good for a 5spd. Especially considering my somewhat aggressive driving habits
