how to remove the windshield washer reservoir

hello, I need help
I tried to pull out my windshield washer fluid reservoir by unscrewing a couple of screws only to realize that I unscrewed the pump and can't get it back in due to the stupidly awkward placement of the reservoir. Can anyone help me, give me directions on how to remove the reservoir so I can clean it and fill it and re-plug in the pump. I tried a search on the site but found nothing.

pull it straight back - as in towards the passenger seat - it may be stiff, but don't worry, you won't break anything. Mine was really hard to pull out the first time I did it.

I leave mine in place and fill it with a turkey baster. YMMV.

That is so frickin' funny, even when I remember myself doing the exact same thing the first time. Nearly a full container of washer fluid piddled all over the carpet! I blamed the dog to cover up - my wife never knew any better. Wait a minute... what if she reads this? Duh!

But yes, like the other post indicates, pull it straight back. First time or two will be a bit of a grunt, but after you've worked it a couple of times it gets easier. Especially if you live where you need to fill it often.

..takes a bit of a good tug the first few times. Put a dab of Vaseline (very little) on the slider contact points and has been much easier since.

Well, I decided I had some time extra time during my break at work today so I tried to remove my washer resevoir. Well I undid the two screws and it looked like a horror movie blood letting with this ever expanding dark spot on my carpet.... Live and learn... maybe I should try reading and learning :)

That washer reservoir really sucks... I had to pull so hard, that when it finally slid back, I almost tripped and hit my head against the door frame...

Unreal... that wasn't the smartest Mitsubishi-engineer who designed that reservoir....

Funny thing actually was that I needed the windshield washer for the first time in December last year when driving on the highway with slush and salt-spray all over the windshield.... When I attempted to first run the pump, nothing happened - turns out the reservoir was full of Japanese water with no anti-freeze washer - and all was frozen shut...

Anyway... now it all works fine and once you succeed to pull the washer tank out, the next time won't be that hard anymore.
