papercraft L300

Post by glenn »

OK, this is the geekiest thing I've done in a while - I've made a papercraft L300. I was so disappointed that Mitsubishi has made papercraft models of almost every vehicle they have ever made, including heavy duty trucks, all types of pajeros, the L4oo and L500, but no L300 (just google mitsubishi papercraft). So, I took maters into my own hands. The result is a paper model of my van. I have included a link to my picassa web-album so you can print of and make your own. You have to add your own tabs for gluing - but this is pretty easy to figure out.

The quality is not as high as the ones produced by Mitsubishi, but I couldn't really justify spending any more time on it. Like so many things, it was way more time consuming than I thought it would be. Enjoy!

I think it looks better in the photos than it really is. All the details are just printed on. It's just one piece of paper, printed, cut, and folded. Take a look at the link on my first post to the template and you'll see. Anyone can print it out now, cut it, and in about 10 - 15 mins, you should have your own mini deli.

This awesome! I'm looking to paint up my deli. With a little photoshop and some folding and glue, presto! Now I have a great idea how it'll look. Thanks for posting!

Hey Glenn,
Sorry to revive this thread after many years, but does anyone have the original file for this white delica paper model?
I dug it up on this forum once before but lost it and can't find it anywhere!

Sorry I'm a newb, but what do you mean by cutting tabs? Do you think my 11-year old son who does this stuff all the time knows how to do this tab cutting?

I'm a newb with this too, no problem. The models that some people make out of paper are incredible. Anyway, you can see where the front and side windows join, for example, that you need to leave a little tab of paper to glue the two parts together. You could also add a little paper hinge here if you forget to cut the tab. Once you start to make it, it should become obvious.
