May I introduce myself

Post by DEL BiG RiG »

Hello Delica fans,

I'm a Canadian living in Japan and I am a Delica freak too. In fact, I have a small fleet of Delicas that I rent out in Japan from our ski lodge in Niseko. Niseko is on the Northern island of Japan called Hokkaido. Niseko is world famous for it's 15m annual snowfall which is some of the lightest and driest snow on earth.

I have also been purchasing, servicing and sending Delicas direct to customers in Canada for three years now. I've been driving delicas for 4years in Japan and at the present, I may very well have the coolest "redneck special" starwagon out there (it's not for sale).

I'm very glad to see that someone did something with http://www.delica.ca. I wanted to do the same, but with the lodge, tours and the exporting...not enough time. I'm stoked to see that delica owners will now be able to network in Canada. Thanks for that.

I don't want to sound like a salesman (even though I am) but I can source delica owners parts such as roof racks and other delica parts and accessories as I send containers on a regular basis.

At any rate, I just wanted to say what's up from japan.

If you want you can check out our lodge http://www.bdlodge.com
or my exporting web blog at http://www.japanroadtrip.blogspot.com

But what about getting a gun rack through customs?

Good Morning DEL Big Rig,
Er... well... Good evening.... uhm... tomorrow? Wecome to Delica.ca . I just had a look at your other web spaces and in particular, I think I saw the redneck mobile you mentioned. You really do need a gun rack in the rear window of that vehicle if you don't have one already. You also need a few hockey sticks to put in the gun rack. That would really help to clear up any ambiguity your neighbors might have about your country of origin. If you really want to do that and you need someone over here to get and send the rack/sticks, let me know. Its just too good an idea!
Also, it looks like you qualify to post in our dealer area:

Any cars or services you can offer will be a welcome addition!

Welcome once again !

Hey Del Big Rig,

You got the name right, what a nice rig, welcome!!!!! Do you have a contact over here to ship racks, light bars, ladders, stainless exhausts, etc? Accessories are what we are really lacking as we have good mechanics and normal replacement parts.
Cheers!!

Andy

Hey Clayton... Did I guess right? Clayton?

Here's a post from a few days ago that fits in with your Delica theme :

So sheesh! Are we peppering you with items from our wishlists already? We become a pack of ravenous wolves when Delica Accessories get mentioned. At least we're Canadian wolves...chomp, sorry, chomp, sorry...

on your forsale page you have listed a 1991 BJ74, you might want to relist it as a HZJ73...the BJ74 version ended in 1989

cheers and welcome.
